Men ought always to pray. Luke 18:1 This 9-week study on the book, A Call to Prayer by J. C. Ryle, is designed to help men answer that call of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ryle explains his heart behind the study in his conclusion when he says, "I want the times we live in to be praying times. I want the Christians of our day to be praying Christians." Prayer is powerful as James 5:16b states, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
